To prepare the vanilla ice cream, take the vanilla bean, slit it, and scrape the inner pulp with a knife blade 1. Set aside. Then take a saucepan with high edges and pour in milk 2 and cream 3.
Then add the sugar 4 and the seeds from the vanilla bean 5, along with the vanilla bean itself 6 to flavor the mixture.
Heat gently to dissolve the sugar while stirring with a hand whisk 7: it will take about 2-3 minutes. The mixture should be close to boiling. When it reaches temperature, turn off the heat and remove the vanilla bean 8. Let the mixture cool until it reaches room temperature. At this point, pour the mixture into the ice cream maker 9. For this ice cream maker, it is not necessary to cool the bowl in the refrigerator.
Let the ice cream maker run for about 30 minutes 10 until it is thick and creamy 11. At this point, transfer it to a low and wide container, preferably glass or steel, and put it in the freezer, closed, for at least 3 hours before consuming it. Your vanilla ice cream is ready to be enjoyed 12!
