How to prepare Baked Calamari Rings

To prepare the baked calamari rings, first clean the squid, then cut them into rings 3/4 inch thick 1. In a baking dish, combine the breadcrumbs 2 and paprika 3.

Add the salt 4 and mix. Place the squid in this mix 5 and mix to adhere the coating well. Transfer the mollusks to a baking tray 6, distributing them without overlapping.

Drizzle with oil 7 to season them evenly 8. Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for 25 minutes. After this time, switch to the fan mode and continue cooking for another 5 minutes for a perfect golden finish. Remove the baked calamari rings from the oven 9 and serve hot!

Storage

It is preferable to consume the baked calamari rings right away; if there are leftovers, you can store them in the refrigerator for no more than one day.

It is possible to freeze raw and breaded calamari rings only if you have used fresh fish.

Tip

Choose your own flavors for the coating: feel free to use curry or herbs like mint, parsley, or cilantro!
