Preparation

How to prepare Eggs with Tomato Sauce

To prepare eggs with tomato sauce, first, peel and slice the onion 1. Heat a drizzle of oil in a non-stick pan, add the onion 2, and let it turn golden for a few minutes, then pour in the tomato sauce. Season with salt 3 and pepper, stir, and cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes.

In the meantime, chop the parsley 4 and set it aside. After the cooking time, break the first egg into a small bowl 5 and create a small space in the sauce with the help of a ladle 6.

Pour the egg into the sauce and proceed the same way with the other 3 eggs 7. Cover with a lid 8 and cook for 5 minutes, just enough time for the egg whites to firm up. At this point, remove the pan from the heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley, then serve the eggs with tomato sauce very hot 9!

Storage

It is recommended to consume eggs with tomato sauce as soon as they are ready.

Freezing is not recommended.

Advice

You can use chives instead of parsley and enrich the eggs with tomato sauce with grated cheese at the end! If you prefer hard yolks, extend the cooking time with the lid for another 5 minutes.
