Caramel pudding
INGREDIENTS
- 500 ml of milk (2 cups)
- 70 grams of sugar (2.5 oz)
- 2 eggs
- Vanilla (to taste)
- Caramel (to taste)
- Crushed/chopped peanuts
PROCEDURE
Heat the milk and set it aside. Caramelize 70 grams of sugar; add the boiling milk when the caramel is ready. In a bowl, whisk the 2 eggs with the vanilla and pour the hot milk over them. Strain the mixture and transfer it to ceramic dishes. Cover with plastic wrap and place the dishes in a pot with a little water. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Once cooked, let them cool completely for at least 3 hours. Garnish with caramel and peanuts (optional).
