Cauliflower Cutlet Gratin

Ingredients

  • 1 cauliflower
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 heaping tablespoon of Greek yogurt sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 slices of tomato
  • 2 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • Oregano to taste

Procedure

  1. Prepare the batter: In a bowl, beat the eggs with Greek yogurt sauce, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Prepare the cauliflower: Cut the cauliflower into slices at least two centimeters thick.
  3. Bread the cauliflower: Dip the cauliflower slices into the batter, ensuring they are well coated on all sides.
  4. Cook in a pan: Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan and cook the breaded cauliflower slices for 5 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
  5. Add tomato and mozzarella: Transfer the cauliflower slices to a baking dish, top each slice with a slice of tomato and one of mozzarella.
  6. Broil in the oven: Sprinkle with oregano and bake in a preheated oven at 330°F (165°C) for 10-15 minutes, until the mozzarella is melted and slightly golden.
  7. Serve hot: Let it rest for a moment before serving your cauliflower cutlets.
