Chocolate Lava Molds with Salted Chocolate Sauce
Chocolate Lava Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 100 g (4.4 oz) of dark chocolate + 30 g (2 tbsps) of butter
- 250 ml of whole milk (1 cup and 2 tbsps)
- 30 g of sugar (2 1/2 tbsps)
- 20 grams of cornstarch is about 2.4 tbsps
- 15 grams of powdered sugar is about 1.2 tbsps
Procedure:
- Grease and sugar the molds.
- Melt the dark chocolate with the butter.
- Prepare the custard by mixing milk, egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract.
- Add the custard to the melted chocolate.
- Beat the egg whites, adding powdered sugar.
- Gently fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared molds and bake for 12 minutes in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F).
- Serve immediately.
Salted Chocolate Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
- 200 grams of water (0.85 cups)
- 6 tbsps of cocoa powder
- 2 tbsps of sugar
Procedure:
- Mix water, cocoa powder, and sugar.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring until you get a smooth sauce.
- Serve the chocolate sauce with the soufflé.
