Fried Hummus Bites
Ingredients:
- Chickpeas, dry (300g or about 1 1/3 cups) Soak in water overnight, then drain.
- Onion, roughly chopped (1 onion)
- A bunch of parsley.
- Seasonings: 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of oregano, 1/2 teaspoon of cumin, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.
Instructions:
- Blend the chickpeas, onion, and parsley until you get a smooth mixture.
- Stir the seasonings into the blended mixture.
- Form the mixture into small balls and fry them until golden brown.
Sour Cream Sauce
Ingredients:
- Sour cream (150g or approximately 2/3 cup)
- Greek cheese, crushed (50g or approximately 3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon)
- Seasonings: salt to taste and a drizzle of olive oil.
Instructions:
- Mix the sour cream with the crushed Greek cheese.
- Add salt to taste and a drizzle of olive oil.
Bell Pepper Sauce
Ingredients:
- Bell peppers, blended into a puree (200g or about 1 cup)
- Seasonings: 1 tablespoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of chili flakes, a drizzle of olive oil, and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce.
Instructions:
- Blend the bell peppers with the salt and chili flakes.
- Then season with olive oil and soy sauce.
Assemble
With these recipes, you can prepare a delicious vegetarian sandwich with fried hummus, accompanied by the two sauces for a rich and varied flavor.
