Franco Pepe
He was crowned the world's best pizza maker by the prestigious international guide "Where to Eat Pizza." Franco Pepe has made the town of Caiazzo, in the province of Caserta, famous thanks to the goodness of his pizza made with sourdough, strictly Campanian ingredients, long leavening times, and lots of passion. Among his most well-known creations is the "Margherita Sbagliata" (Wrong Margherita), an original Margherita conceived "backwards," enriched with fiordilatte cheese, drops of basil, and a fiery red brushstroke of pure Caiazzo riccio tomato.
